Anthro Corporation, Technology Furniture®, the Portland, Oregon manufacturer of modular furniture for technology, introduces the Anthro Tablet Charging Cabinet. A member of Anthro’s award-winning family of Charging Carts and Cabinets for Mobile Devices, the Tablet Charging Cabinet stores and charges 20 tablets, iPad® or Android devices, and readers.

The compact cabinet (21"w x 12"d x 24"h) easily mounts to a wall or counter saving mobile device users valuable floor space. The cabinet is divided into two separate locking compartments. The front user area contains 20 roomy bays (.875"w x 8.5"h x 10.5") to hold most common mobile devices, including their cases. A separate locking IT area on the side of the cabinet holds power transformers.

Each storage bay in the front user area is individually numbered 1-20 to make it easy to see which devices are docked or in use. A dedicated area directly above the mobile device bays stores a laptop. The cable pass-through connects to the side IT area for charge.

Anthro’s cable management system organizes loose cables cleanly. Cable clips located along the top of the metal bay dividers route the power connector cord to the front of the bay for quick connection, making it easy to see which devices are connected to power. The channels at the back of the cabinet run cables from each bay to the side IT area.

The power panel in the locking IT area contains 22 power receptacles, enough to charge all tablets, a laptop plus an extra device. Use the 10-foot power cord (included) to easily reach a wall outlet or wire a power connection behind the unit and access it through a notch in the back panel. A power indicator light and an on/off switch protect the contents from a power surge when plugging in the cabinet and devices. Ventilated doors, panels, and inner dividers keep air moving throughout the enclosure so devices stay cool.

The optional Sync Kit is a 10-port USB hub that connects 10 devices at a time to the laptop, providing a wired connection for updates. The Kit includes one 10-port hub, 10 cords with a USB connector on one end and a 30-pin connector on the other end, and one cable with AC power adapter. The Sync Kit is sold separately.

Anthro’s Tablet Charging Cabinets ship assembled with instructions and hardware to mount to studs and drywall (for wall-mounting) and to a countertop or tabletop (for surface-mounting). Constructed of steel with a baked-on powder coat finish, the cabinet has a Lifetime Warranty. A two year warranty covers electrical components. The cord and plug are not under warranty.

Anthro Corp was founded in 1984. Anthro provides furniture for technology for the engineering, business, healthcare, government, education, and home markets.
